about

The third split single combines two groups of a newer kind: duos that overcame the need of a member for every instrument, collaborative music projects adding whatever sound it needs for a production.

On "Digital Glow" Walter Frosch explores with a dark but glowing tune the coldness of digital screens. The feeling of losing oneself in the depths of our screens connects here with losing oneself on the dancefloor of a lonesome club-night. A wonderful unheard new sound of these promising swiss musicians.

Alpine Decline plays a more intimate and close-to-the-listener sound. "You Kid Yourself" catches immediately with oscillating Guitars, a grooving but very melodious Bass, swinging Drums and the direct and emotional Vocals that seem to realize while running "You can not escape a new reality".

About Walter Frosch:
Walter Frosch is a duo from Schaffhausen, playing dreamy and catchy synth-pop. Their first album was highly acclaimed and also their most recent LP „Under A Spell“ was sold out in a minute. Their reverb loaded songs reminds of the post-punk era but sound so convincing and independent that there’s no need for the label "retro". Chain smoker Walter Frosch (the footballer after which the Band is named) would have had his trouble not to get out of breath because of the danceability of these pieces.

About Alpine Decline:
Urban noise, has been a constant in the life of Alpine Decline. They sought it in their initial move to Beijing, just outside the city’s fifth-ring road sitting in the ambient grit and smoke created by the city’s never-ending 21st century economic boom. The Guitar & Drums duo between Beijing and Los Angeles touches with it's sound a nostalgic sweet spot for fans of psych, shoegaze, noise rock and ‘90s indie. Joined on the Bass by Yang Haisong (PK14) the band’s work is grounded in an intensely personal digestion of the swirling cultural malaise of the day, dueling themes of lies, love and trust, but always uplifted by a romantic, desperate mission to shape beauty from the chaotic noise around them.
